An international background is part of every performance with Ray’s history of USO tours. Ray’s wide range of guitar styles and outstanding solos ignite audiences at every gig. Ray’s vocal prowess allows him to perform such classics as Stairway to Heaven and Hotel California. He also carries the vocal baton on such artists as Tower of Power, Bruno Mars, Daft Punk, Barry White, Black Eyed Peas, Prince and Santana.
As a contestant in the Grand Ole Opry and Manhattan Center for Show Choir Nationals, Samantha Marie was awarded Best Female Soloist at both of these national competitions along with the Cyclone Idol champion at Iowa State University. She loves to belt out songs by powerhouse singers such as Whitney Houston, Adele, Katy Perry, Robin Thicke, Etta James, Journey, Aretha Franklin, Rachel Platten and many more! Her vocal passion and engaging performance style has won the hearts of audiences all over the United States. She brings high energy, poise and an incredible vocal talent to every performance of High Brow and The Shades.

Every evening the audience members are drawn to the dance floor by Jimmy’s solid rhythm and unique style — they can’t sit still! Jimmy handles the Emcee duties, entertaining audiences with his comedic flare throughout the evening. Jimmy will surely entertain you by singing such legends as The Doors, Roy Orbison, Kentucky Headhunters, Huey Lewis and the News, and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Dr. J is known for his high energy antics on stage. He flows across the keyboard with exuberance and style. One minute he is graceful and the next he scorches it with fire. Dr. J croons Billy Joel, The Cars, Eric Clapton, Kool and the Gang, and Earth Wind and Fire.

“Boogie Man” Boyd is one of the twin cities premier bass players. He performed with USO tours for ten years and has played all over the world. His falsetto vocals are the icing on the cake for the harmonies used by High Brow and the Shades. Audiences truly love his infectious smile and on stage antics! We call him the “Boogie Man” because he is scary good on that bass guitar!
